Walking Directions to Brum BiFest
From Birmingham New Street Station
This page contains a number of images and commentary describing an easy route from Birmingham New Street station to the BiFest venue.

- Come out of the station and head out to the front of the Debenhams which is directly opposite. The road you will need to cross is called Smallbrook Queensway.

- With Debenhams on your left hand side you want to walk down Smallbrook Queensway.

- Keep walking down Smallbrook Queensway following the pedestrianised route as it slopes downwards.

- You will come to an underpass just before a crossing. You want to turn left before the crossing here. This puts you at the very top of Hurst Street.

- Having turned left onto Hurst Street keep going straight ahead.

- You will come to a crossing at the lights. Cross here.


- Once you have crossed the road, bear right towards the Hippodrome. Once the Hippodrome is on your right look for Candies an old fashioned sweet shop.

- Cross the road at Inge Street with Candies an old fashioned sweet shop on the corner. Stay on Hurst Street (Do not turn right here!)

- Keep walking down Hurst Street, you will pass The Dragon Inn a Wetherspoons pub and an Indian curry house Salaam across the road on the left.

- You will come to a Tesco on the corner opposite City Tattooing and HGL. Cross the road to stand in front of City Tattooing.

- With City Tattooing on your left, walk along this road. You are on Bromsgrove Street. You will pass Loft Lounge Dining on your left.

- You will come to a scruffy looking car park (this is the one on Lower Essex Street and Bromsgrove Street) Turn left here onto the top of Lower Essex Street.

- Walk down Lower Essex Street. You will pass a club called Innov8 on the other side of the road.

- Cross the road at Kent Street and keep walking down Lower Essex Street.

- Keep walking past Probation Service buildings and a pub called The Fox.

- You will then come to the entrance of the Brum BiFest venue ABplus.
